Introduce clients with tax problems. Earn when they pay, and for years after.
You know people who are stuck with URA: a blocked TCC, a loan that can't close, an assessment, years of unfiled rent. Introduce them to us. You earn a fee when they pay. As an Associate who stays close to the client, you also earn a trail on recurring work in years 2 and 3.
Earn on every client who pays
Introducer: you spot the need and introduce the client. We explain, quote and close.
Associate: you take the client further. You explain the service using our Partner Guide, run the estimate with them on our website, collect the documents on our checklist, and bring them to the point of signing the quote and paying. Because you do more of the selling, you earn more.
| Type of work | Introducer | Associate |
|---|---|---|
| One-off work TCC, company closure, objections, EFRIS setup, customs rulings | 10% of our fee | 15% of our fee |
| Recurring work Monthly filing, annual retainer, NGO package, yearly rental filing | 10% of the first year's fees | 15% of the first year's fees, then an earned 5% a year in years 2 and 3 |
| Advisory Tax structuring, planning, transfer pricing, pre-transaction reviews | 7.5% of our fee | 10% of our fee, then an earned 3% of yearly review fees in years 2 and 3 |
Associates earn the trail quarter by quarter, by keeping in touch with the client through the partner portal: a check-in each quarter, document requests chased within 5 business days, and a yearly review. Nothing is paid after year 3.
Quarterly bonus: UGX 300,000 when 3 to 5 clients you introduced pay their first invoice in a quarter, or UGX 750,000 for 6 or more.
Introduce more, earn more
| Level | Clients who signed up with us in the last 12 months | Your first-year rates |
|---|---|---|
| Partner | 1 to 4 | The rates above |
| Silver | 5 to 9 | Each rate plus 2.5 points |
| Gold | 10 or more | Each rate plus 5 points |
Example. A company takes our annual retainer at UGX 3,250,000 a month, or UGX 39,000,000 a year. As an Introducer you earn UGX 3,900,000 in the first year. As an Associate who brought them to signing, UGX 5,850,000 in the first year, then up to UGX 1,950,000 a year in years 2 and 3 when you earn the trail: up to UGX 9,750,000.
Three steps, all in writing
You introduce
A WhatsApp message to us with your client's permission is enough. They hear from us within one business day.
We do the work
A written quote, a clear plan, regular updates. Your name is attached to our work, and we treat it that way.
You earn
A fee when the client pays. Associates also earn a trail on recurring clients in years 2 and 3. Paid quarterly.
The fine print, in summary
- Of our fees only, after the client has paid. Never of tax, penalties, interest, government fees or costs we pay to others.
- Paid quarterly, within 30 days after each quarter ends, by bank or mobile money in your name. If a client doesn't pay, or we refund them, nothing is due on that fee.
- Withholding tax is deducted where the law requires it, and you receive a certificate for it.
- The trail is earned. Associates earn each quarter's trail by logging a check-in with the client, chasing any document request within 5 business days, logging a yearly review, and the client paying on time. Miss one and that quarter's trail is forfeited.
- Your client is told in writing, before they sign, that a referral fee is paid. Our prices are the same with or without a partner.
- Your own data: we check your ID before your first payout, and keep your details as our privacy policy explains.
- Never promise an outcome, a saving or a date; claim any link to an official; offer anything to an official; quote a final price or give a discount; say you're part of 256TC, an employee of ours or a tax agent for us; use a client's TIN or URA login; or collect or take money from a client for us.
- Client data: get the person's consent first, send documents only through the partner portal, and delete your copies within 30 days.
- Ending: either side can end it on 30 days' written notice. We can end it at once for dishonesty, a false declaration or a serious breach; then no trail is paid after the end, but fees you have already earned are still paid. If it ends any other way, you keep half your trail for the rest of years 2 and 3 on clients whose trail you earned in your last full quarter, as long as they keep paying us on time.
- Who can't join: staff of URA, URSB, NIRA, immigration, customs, NSSF, ministries, local governments and government-owned banks or agencies. We never pay public servants, for anything.
- You're not our agent or employee, and never part of 256TC. Describe yourself only as a referral partner of 256 Tax Consultants.
Getting started: apply with the form on this page, then read and sign the partner agreement in your partner portal. You get your partner code and a personal link: anyone who contacts us through it within 30 days is recorded as your introduction. The Partner Guide and a short onboarding session follow; Associates complete onboarding before closing their first client.
The signed partner agreement is the binding text, and this summary does not replace it. Terms may be updated; if they change, partners who have already signed are asked to sign the new version. Until you do, the version you signed applies, and you can leave at no cost before a rate change you don't accept.
Built for your profession
- Banking and credit professionals: a borrower blocked by a missing TCC or unfiled returns is a facility that can't be disbursed. We clear the URA side so the deal can close.
- Lawyers: conveyancing, succession and litigation clients often run into tax: a TCC, capital gains, an assessment. We handle the tax, and you keep the client. Prefer not to take a fee? Choose reciprocal referrals instead.
- Accountants and bookkeepers: keep the books, and bring us the URA problems: audits, objections, EFRIS clean-ups. We never offer bookkeeping to clients you refer.
- Property managers and estate agents: every landlord on your books has a rental tax position. Clearing arrears before June 2027 may save them the interest.
- Business associations, insurance agents and HR or payroll providers: your members and clients meet the same deadlines. We can also run tax clinics for your members.
Questions
Yes, if your employer's rules allow you to earn outside referral income. You confirm that when you apply, and you're responsible for keeping to your employer's policies.
You can take the disclosed referral fee if your professional rules allow it. If you prefer not to, choose reciprocal referrals instead: we send clients who need legal work to advocates we trust. They work for the client under their own terms, and we take no fee for it.
No. We don't offer bookkeeping or legal services to the clients you refer. We handle the tax and send them back to you for everything else.
